Charged with youthful energy and vitality, Lucile’s vibrant illustrations have amassed a vast following within the international illustration scene. Lucile first emerged within the artistic landscape in Europe during the 1980s shortly after graduating from Penninghen Art School in Paris. During this time she joined forces with fellow designer and colleague Michel Maidenberg to found the Klaxon Graphic Art Studio where she worked extensively with a wide range of advertising agencies. After the birth of her two children, Lucile left Klaxon’s in order to pursue her passion for culinary and fashion illustration. Her energetic color palette combined with a unique artistic flare immediately captivated the attentions of numerous leading European fashion publications. As a result, Lucile has worked extensively with Marie Claire, Biba, Depeche Mode, Avantages, Phosphore and Muze magazines.
Lucile has created pattern designs for French designer Et Vous and Cacharel as well as silhouette designs for the Summer Window display of Longchamp. Her exemplary watercolor skills were showcased in the cookbook ‘Les Petites Toques Le Notre’. Lucile’s sumptuous use of color and design breathe life into every illustration she creates, simultaneously radiating a sense of sincerity and fun.
Lucile lives and works in Paris where she is currently developing a book of fashion illustrations, ‘You Are So French,” due out in 2013. This is the first time that Lucile’s work has been available in the U.S. She is launching a line of greeting cards with Collage Greetings this year with her popular recipe illustrations.
