Izak Zenou X Estee Lauder 2020
When the world shut down…
No set, no shoot—just Izak Zenou for Estée Lauder, turning illustration into the main event.
Estée Lauder didn’t pivot—they switched mediums. They brought in Izak Zenou and let the drawing do the talking. What started as a long game—two years of planning around packaging and in-store illustration—snapped into something sharper when the world closed down: a campaign built entirely on line, not logistics.
No shoot, no set, no crew. Just Zenou’s hand—fast, fluid, and precise. His ink carried the weight: mood, movement, allure. It slipped easily across formats—packaging, digital, retail—holding everything together without forcing it. One language, everywhere, exactly when brands were losing their voice.
This is what happens when illustration doesn’t decorate the idea—it is the idea. Luxury without excess. Strategy without friction. An artist-led campaign that moves at the speed of instinct but lands with total control.
No camera. No compromise. Still everywhere.
